A Florida TikToker who killed 6 farmworkers when he mowed them over with a BMW that he was racing on the ByteDance short form platform TikTok and the social app Instagram has been sentenced to over a decade in jail.
Noah Galle, 20, was 17 years of age when he crashed his BMW in Palm Beach County as farmworkers were ending their day of work at Pero Family Farms.
According to the New York Post, Galle was driving his BMW M5 at 151 MPH when he smashed into an SUV that had six people riding in it, 5 of whom died instantly and the others would pass away later.
Galle, who is the son of local attorney Craig Galle, pleaded guilty to six counts of vehicular homicide and avoided a 55-year prison sentence with the deal.
West Palm Beach Chief Assistant State Attorney Al Johnson said the victims’ families agreed with the sentence and called the ruling a “significant punishment.”
“No amount of prison time will bring the victims back to their families” Johnson said, according to Fox News. “The families have written to us that they did not object to this plea. Some of them didn’t even want him to go to jail at all. One wanted us to drop the case entirely.”
