This picture of a frozen cat is funny in a way but also kind of sad. Just imagine, this cat buried in snow and frozen beyond all precisions. This furry cat still survived, can you believe it?
On January 31, her keepers found her buried near their home in Kalispell, Montana. They immediately took her to the nearest Veterinary Clinic in Kalispell and the vets defrosted her to help her live another day. “She was basically frozen”, according to one of the vets.
The 3-year old cats’ named Fluffy’s temperature was even lower than 90°F and it was so low that it wasn’t even measureable on thermometer. A cat’s normal body temperature is about 100°-102°F. Initially, the vets were unable to put an IV in her, yes! She was that much frozen. To raise her body temperature they used warm water, hair dryers and heated towels. Then they put her in a heated kennel. After spending one night in ER, Fluffy finally came home.
This is such a shocking incident, to think that the cat was still alive even after being buried in the snow for God knows how long. Think about her poor owners, how frightened they must have been when they found her. They probably thought she was dead.
